Brazil is roaring cascades

One of the most attractive places in the world, Brazil is a country of powdery white sandy beaches, green rainforests, and wild capitals full of rhythm. Brazil's attractions extend from colonial towns frozen in time to other landscapes of red rock canyons, thundering waterfalls and tropical islands dotted with coral reefs. Then there is Brazil's biodiversity: legendary in scope, its diverse ecosystems boast the largest collection of plant and animal species to be found anywhere on Earth. There are countless places where you can discover the famous species in Brazil, including toucans, scarlet parrots, howling monkeys, capybara, pink dolphins, sea turtles, and thousands of other living species.

Days of adventure

Brazil offers big adventures for travelers on both large and small budgets. There is horseback riding and wildlife watching in the Pantanal, kayaking in the Amazon jungle, climbing rocky cliff tops to panoramic views, whale watching off the coast, surfing, stellar detachment from palm-fringed beaches, and snorkeling in crystal-clear rivers or coastal reefs. They are all part of the wonderful Brazilian experience. No less attractive is the prospect of doing nothing, aside from drowning toes in the warm sand and enjoying a gorgeous stretch of beach, with caipirinha - Brazil's national cocktail - in hand.

Joy de Vever

Brazil's most famous celebration, Carnival, engulfs the country's cities and towns with samba and frivo, and gorgeous costumes and parties that last until sunrise, but Brazilians hardly limit their celebrations to a few weeks of the year. Festivals (festivals) take place throughout the year, providing a window into the amazing diversity of Brazil. The streets are carpeted in flowers during Ouro Preto's Semana Santa (Holy Week), while in the north, Bumba Meu Boi mixes indigenous, African and Portuguese folklore. For a taste of the old world, visit the beer-loving Oktoberfest and Schnitzel in Blumenau, the largest outside Germany. Several cities, such as Recife, Fortaleza and Natal, host Carnival at other times of the year.

Rhythms of Brazil

Wherever the music is, this good lust for life tends to emerge - whether it's dancing with Cariocas in the atmospheric samba clubs of Rio or following the strong drumming of the streets of Salvador. There is the dance floor in the Northeast, the roller coaster carembo in the Amazon, a skilled DJ in São Paulo and an endless variety of regional voices that range from the refreshing country music of a sunny Sertanejo band to the ruthless reggae music of Maranhão.
