Ingredients:
For 8 cereal bars:
1 C oatmeal or mixed flakes
1 C whole puffed rice (or other cereal of your choice)
2 teaspoons of wheat bran
2 tbsp. Oat bran
½ cup coarsely chopped almonds (or any nuts / fruit of your choice)
½ cup (40 g) coarsely chopped cranberries or raisins
¼ teaspoon of sugar (sweetener for me)
1 tablespoon of coffee oil (or coconut, macadamia or neutral oil) - at most it is not essential, I add more for the flavor of the coffee
1CS honey
2 egg whites
Preparation:
1) Preheat your oven to 200 ° C and put it on the grill position2) mix all the dry ingredients: rice, flakes, bran, almonds and cranberries.
3) In a saucepan, heat the oil with the honey and sugar (if necessary add a few tablespoons of water). When you get a homogeneous mixture, introduce the dry ingredients and mix so that they integrate well into the syrup.
4) Pour this mixture into a rectangular silicone mold or into a traditional buttered mold. Add the egg whites, mix them with a spatula and press firmly to the bottom of the mold.
5) Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, keeping an eye on the cooking. Your cereal bars should brown slightly.
Let cool for a few moments, then unmold and cut into 8 bars of equal size.
